Fall Auditions '09

Spring Auditions '09
We'd like to welcome the lovely Laura Paley ('11) and Vivian Dinh ('12) as
our newest Overtones! Thank you to everyone who tried out, it was a very
competitive audition!
Spring Show '09
Thanks to everybody who came to see our Spring Show, with special guest
performances from UC Men's Octet and DeCadence! We had a great time, and
the proof is in the Youtube videos of the show, which you can access on
our Videos page.
ICCA '09 Update
The Overtones had a fantastic time competing in the International
Championship of Collegiate A Cappella this year, placing first in
Quarterfinals with special recognition for Best Soloist: Helen Supanich!
We advanced to Semifinals in Beverly Hills, where we placed fourth
overall. It was an honor to perform on the same stage as Mt. Sac's Fermata
Nowhere, the group that went on to place first in Nationals!
West Coast '08
Both the Golden Overtones and the Men's Octet want to congratulate all of
our guest performers for once again making West Coast A Cappella Showcase
the best collegiate a cappella show in the country! A big thank you specifically to Artists in Resonance, UC Davis Spokes, DeCadence, UC Santa

Hong Kong Tour
The lovely ladies of the Overtones were fortunate enough to tour Hong Kong
for nine days in November 2008, thanks to UC Berkeley International Relations!
Our tour culminated with a performance at the International Relations'
official donor gala, hosted by our very own Chancellor!
West Coast A Cappella Showcase Date Change!!!
Although traditionally we hold this show on a Friday and Saturday, we're holding it on
Saturday and Sunday instead! Please join us on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16 for our 8th
annual West Coast A Cappella Showcase.
Video Gallery Now Available, September 23, 2008
Last year, a video gallery was created containing all of the videos of the
Overtones on www.youtube.com. The video gallery pages have finally been reformatted
with the new style of the website and can be viewed here. The video gallery is still
incomplete; check back daily for new videos being added!

annual West Coast A Capella Showcase! The event features a variety of a capella groups from up and down the
west coast, including groups from Cal, Stanford, University of Oregon, UCLA, and more! If you are an a cappella
group on the west coast and would like to perform at the show, contact us ASAP!

Overtones Fall Auditions: Sunday, September 7, 2008

that shows off your voice! Bring homework to do (Audtions may take all day). Be yourself, and be prepared to

ICCA Semifinals: March 16, 2008
Congratulations to SoCal VoCals for winning 1st place at the ICCA Semifinals on March 15, 2008. The Overtones are happy to have been able to perform and share the stage with mind-blowing talent from all over the west coast. It was an amazing show.
ICCA Quarterfinals: February 10, 2008
The California Golden Overtones came in first place at the ICCA West Region Quarterfinal 2 on February 9, 2008. Come support the Overtones at Semifinals on Saturday, March 15 at the Marin Center for Performing Arts.
